A doodle that went insane when I decided to try out the "pastels" in Painter. Long story short, I loooove them.
For anyone that reads the Redwall series (and you all should, really) -- this is Songbreeze Swifteye, from the book Marlfox. She ended up a little beefier than I anticipated, but she looks like she could probably kick some tail, so I'm pretty happy. Painter, about 4 hours nonstop. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. to tell you the truth, i've read all 18 (18?) books at least two times each in the past three years. i'd have to say they are pretty amazing. whenever i try to do art of the characters, though, it just doesn't work out
